Polypropylene (PP) is a light, stiff thermoplastic with a density of about 0.90–0.91 g/cm³ and good heat and chemical resistance. Homopolymer grades are used for raffia (woven sacks), fibre, BOPP film and stiff mouldings; copolymer grades add impact strength for buckets, crates, furniture and automotive parts.
The grade is chosen by type (homopolymer, impact or random copolymer) and melt flow index (MFI).
When you request a quote, mention the application, grade or MFI and density, any preferred producer grade, quantity, packing and delivery location.
Applications
- Raffia and woven sacks
- Injection-moulded household and industrial parts
- Fibre and non-woven fabric
- BOPP and cast film

Quality, documents and shipping
Quality checks
Grade, specification, packing and inspection terms are agreed before dispatch. A sample can be requested with your enquiry, and if you need pre-shipment inspection by an agency of your choice, mention it when you ask for a quote.
Typical export documents
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Certificate of origin
- Certificate of analysis (COA)
- Bill of lading / airway bill
- Material safety data sheet (MSDS / SDS)
The exact set depends on your country's import rules — share your broker's list with the enquiry.
Quotes can be prepared on the shipping terms you work with (for example FOB, CFR or CIF) — include your destination port. New to these terms? Read our import guides.
PP Granules (Polypropylene): frequently asked questions
Homopolymer or copolymer PP — which do I need?
Homopolymer is stiffer and suits raffia, fibre and film; impact copolymer is tougher at low temperatures and suits buckets, crates and automotive parts; random copolymer gives clarity for transparent containers.
Do you provide a COA for PP granules?
Yes. A certificate of analysis comes with every lot, and the MSDS / SDS is available on request.
What is the minimum order quantity for PP granules?
Our standard minimum order is 1 MT. Smaller trial quantities can be discussed.
