Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) combine the soft, rubber-like feel of vulcanised rubber with the easy processing of plastics: they are moulded and extruded like thermoplastics and can be recycled. Common families are styrenic (SEBS / SBS) compounds and TPV.
TPE is specified by Shore A hardness, colour and the substrate it has to bond to in overmoulding (for example PP or ABS).
