Raw sea salt, also called crude solar salt, is produced by evaporating sea brine in salt pans under the sun and harvested without washing or refining. Gujarat's coastline, especially around Kutch and Saurashtra, is India's main source.
It is the lowest-cost form of salt and is bought in bulk by chlor-alkali and soda-ash plants, by salt refiners and washeries, and for road de-icing.
When you request a quote, mention the minimum NaCl content, moisture and insoluble-matter limits, grain size, bulk or bagged supply, quantity and destination.
